…Deposit and payment

Deposits are non-refundable and must be made in advance of your session before any services can be confirmed or provided. Only upon payment of your deposit will the date and time of your photography session (as discussed via email) be reserved, and the remaining fee will be due on the date of your the session.
 

No imagery will be released until the full payment has been made and received!

 

…Cancellations and no-shows

if you fail to show or cancel your session for any reason, your deposit will be forfeited.
Should you wish to proceed with a new booking, a new deposit will need to be agreed.

 (low temperatures are not considered grounds to reschedule unless there are small children participating in the shoot, in which case a minimum of 24 hours notice is required.)
 

 

…Rescheduling and late arrivals

if you arrive to your session late, the amount of time late will be deducted from the time allotted for your shoot.
arriving up to 15 minutes prior to your session is advised, as this will allow us time to have a chat (and perhaps a coffee!), and to go over your ideas and expectations for the shoot.

You shall not be compensated for the time deducted from your session if you're late.
 

Should you, for any reason, need to reschedule or amend your session, providing a minimum of 72 hours notice has been given, your non-refundable deposit can be applied to a rescheduled session.
 

 

…Photographic materials

all photographic materials, including but not limited to proofs and previews, are the exclusive property of Emily-Jane McNeill.
NO imagery will be released until your session has been paid in full as per your photography confirmation.

 

…Contact sheets

Upon completion of your session, you will receive a ‘contact sheet’ up to 48 hours after the shoot.
you will then be able to view and select your chosen photos (amount specified in your booking confirmation) ready for editing.
Additional images may be requested at a cost of £20 per image.
 

ONLY EDITED IMAGES WILL BE DELIVERED

Unedited images (including RAW files) will not be delivered, nor can they be requested or purchased. 

 

…Artistic right (This is the technical part!)
Emily-Jane McNeill retains the right of discretion in selecting the photographic materials released to you.
Only edited images will be delivered. NO unedited images will be released during or after your session.
As the photographer, I reserve the right to decline any requests to edit any specifically requested images that are considered not up to standard, and may also decline any “extreme” editing requests, such as but not limited to background changes, added effects, and body modification.
 

 

…Satisfaction and accuracy

upon confirmation of your booking, it is understood that the work delivered to you will be of a similar style and calibre to the photographs shown on www.emilymcneillphotography.com / @emilyjanemcneill_ and that I will have complete creative control both during the session and in post-processing.
no re-editing will be done after the final edited copies are presented to you unless otherwise agreed via email.
(additional editing may be subject to a fee)

 

…Copyright, reproduction and social media! (more technical bits!)
Emily-Jane McNeill shall retain copyright ownership of all works created over the course of your session, including but not limited to all images in their original and processed formats.
It is understood that any duplication or alteration of original images is strictly prohibited without the written permission.
Alterations include, but are not limited to; the application of filters, and cropping or modifications of any kind. If any of these actions are performed Emily-Jane McNeill reserves the right to contact you and request the photo(s) be removed as they would no longer be accurate representations of the photographer’s work.

WHEN UPLOADING YOUR IMAGES TO SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS SUCH AS FACEBOOK/INSTAGRAM/TWITTER, OR IF YOUR IMAGES ARE TO BE USED IN DIGITAL or PRINT, YOU ARE REQUIRED TO CREDIT APPROPRIATELY

…Client usage

All images captured and created during your session with Emily-Jane McNeill, are for personal use only and shall not be submitted to contests or reproduced for commercial use without written approval by the photographer.

Additional copies may be purchased between third parties and the photographer with the permission of the client.

 

…Retention of delivered files

I can only guarantee that your photographs will be available for up to three months from the date of delivery. After three months I can no longer guarantee that your photographs will be available.
